Moola Mantra

The Moola mantra is a very powerful mantra to invoke the Divine Presence.

Moola means "root" and this mantra is a foundational one for invoking the Divine.

 

Process

You may like to light a candle or lamp to represent the Divine whom you are invoking.

The mantra is recited 3 times with an open heart. You are calling on the Divine with yearning and asking Him to respond to you.

Purushothama, Paramatma.

Sri Bhagavati Samethe, Sri Bhagavate Namaha

Meaning of the Sanskrit words.

Om: The Universal Sound

Sat: Existence/Truth/Reality/Presence

Chit: Pure Consciousness or Unconditioned Awareness

Ananda: The bliss or ecstacy that comes from contact with the Self

Parabrahman: The Absolute

Puroshottama: The Supreme Soul. Sometimes the personalities (avatars) of God

Paramatman: The Divine Indweller, immanent in our hearts.

Sri Bhagavathi: The spiritual creative energy of the universe: the divine feminine

Sametha: Be in communion with

Sri Bhagavate: The masculine aspect of the universe, unmoving

Namaha: Salutations or prostrations
